Welcome to Erlich, Kramer & Associates Antiquarians Bookshop!
Owned and operated by a third-generation antiquarian, our store was established for the astute collector and investor seeking to enrich their libraries with rare, author signed, first editions, first printing and used books. We specialize in American and English authors from the turn of the 19th century, 20th and 21st century.
What started as a childhood hobby eventually became a life-long passion of collecting books, and now thriving business located in a suburb of Los Angeles, California. We buy books from well-known and reputable collectors, auctioneers and antiquarians like you. And we stand by the quality and accuracy of our descriptions of each book and authenticity of each signature.
From Dickens to Joseph Heller, Steinbeck and Faulkner to the Beat Generation, we have a broad and diverse selection of signed first editions — each certain to bring a heightened-level of satisfaction and added enrichment to your library. If you are looking for a rare antiquarian book from16th century to 18th century, we are your first choice: a collection of rare books with numerous engravings, leather bound in exceptional conditions.
As a family-owned business, we take the time to thoroughly inspect each exhibit and write our own descriptions, careful to preserve the quality of each book and provide our customers with the most reliable information. Why are we so passionate about what we do? Because, we as collectors know the joy of walking into a bookstore and ‘feeling’ the book, its cover, bindings, end sheets and pages.
When you read our descriptions, we want you to share our experience, to ‘feel’ the book and elicit the same excitement you felt when you discovered your first rare book. We call it ‘book virtualization’ but kidding aside, the truth of the matter is that nothing can replace the joy of touching the book, feeling the binding, admiring the signature and taking time to turn each page while considering all the lives those same pages touched before you. No wonder we decided to open a brick and mortar store in Burbank at a time when many bookstores across the nation are closing down.
We hope to see you in our store located at 3249A W. Magnolia Blvd in Burbank or just visit our site at www.bibliostop.com.
